About this role (from ClickUp's posting)
At ClickUp, we're building the future of work: the first truly converged AI workspace unifying tasks, docs, chat, calendar, and enterprise search, all supercharged by context-driven AI. We are an AI-native company. Every team member is expected to leverage AI daily, and we evaluate AI fluency as part of our hiring process. Join us and help redefine what's possible. 🚀
We're hiring a Senior Technical Account Manager (TAM) who has already done this job at a SaaS company: someone who has led implementations, owned enterprise accounts and knows what it takes to drive adoption in complex organizations. You'll be a strategic partner and trusted advisor to our customers, combining strong relationship management with deep knowledge of ClickUp's platform. This role sits where customer success, solution strategy and technical enablement meet, and it drives long-term growth, adoption and measurable business outcomes.
TAMs own the full post-sales customer lifecycle. That starts with implementation and onboarding and continues through ongoing managed services, strategic expansion and renewal outcomes across your book of business. This role requires an AI-native professional who doesn't just use AI tools but designs, builds and scales AI-powered workflows and agents, and brings that hands-on expertise to customers.
TAMs lead with a customer-first mindset. You'll build success plans, guide onboarding and adoption and make sure stakeholders keep seeing value throughout their lifecycle. You'll support technical initiatives like process optimization, workflow design and AI enablement, and you'll also own the overall health, engagement and strategic direction of your accounts. You'll work cross-functionally with Sales, Product and Support so each customer's success story is long-term, scalable and impactful.
Technical Account Managers (TAMs) deliver measurable value and meaningful business outcomes across their customer portfolio by focusing on:
- Customer Enablement & Onboarding: Guiding new teams through implementation, onboarding and training for a smooth start and a strong foundation.
- Account Health & Engagement: Proactively managing user adoption, stakeholder alignment and account health to support retention and growth.
- Process Optimization & Solution Design: Working with customers to identify critical business processes, map them to scalable solutions and keep improving efficiency through ongoing refinement and performance insights.
- Innovation Adoption & Workflow Automation: Helping customers use emerging features and technologies, including AI and automation, to boost productivity, streamline operations and deliver real-world impact.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
TAMs are the strategic and technical owner of the customer relationship. They make sure every customer gets measurable results from ClickUp's product and AI feature set.

Account Health Management
- Monitor seat utilization, adoption trends and Champion/Stakeholder engagement.
- Build and run adoption plans and account reviews to maintain or improve health.
- Spot risks early and build recovery plans with the account team.
- Deliver ongoing change management and enablement so customers keep maturing on the platform.
Workflow Mapping (IER Framework)
- Run Intake → Execution → Reporting (IER) cycles for key workflows.
- Lead discovery sessions that map current-state and future-state processes.
- Recommend optimizations and create workflow templates that scale across teams.
AI Enablement & Agent Deployment
- Drive adoption of ClickUp AI and build custom workflow Agents tied to customer use cases.
