THE ROLE
We’re hiring a Senior UX Copywriter to own product and UX copy across the entire member experience. You’ll sit side by side with product designers and move across product areas (e.g., onboarding, shopping, checkout, membership, account) rather than owning a single lane. You’ll write the words members see at every step. You’ll also set the copy standards that keep the experience consistent, clear, and unmistakably Thrive Market! This reports into the Senior Manager of Product Design.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Write UX and product copy across web, app, and lifecycle touchpoints: headlines, CTAs, labels, helper text, error and empty states, confirmations, and in-flow education
Work in the design process alongside product designers, from early flows to final specs, in Figma
Build and maintain our copy standards: voice and tone guidelines, style guide, glossary, and reusable copy patterns
Keep copy consistent across product areas, and flag gaps and conflicts in terminology
Partner with Product, Design, Engineering, Research, Marketing, Legal, and Member Support to ship accurate, clear copy
Write to support business goals such as acquisition, conversion, add-to-cart, basket size, and retention, without losing member trust
Run and learn from copy tests (A/B and experiments), user research, and performance data, then iterate
Apply accessibility and plain-language standards in every flow
Coach designers, PMs, and other teammates on writing effective first-draft copy and using the standards
Work across multiple projects at once, managing priorities and feedback with senior stakeholders
QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of UX, product, or digital copywriting experience, ideally in D2C, ecommerce, or subscription
A portfolio showing UX and microcopy work, with the reasoning behind your choices
Experience building or maintaining copy standards, style guides, or pattern libraries
Comfort working in Figma and alongside designers day to day
Skill at writing persuasive, clear, and concise copy that reflects a brand voice
A data-informed approach, including experience with copy testing or experimentation
Working knowledge of accessibility and inclusive-language practices
Strong collaboration and communication skills, and the ability to give and take feedback
Experience across multiple product surfaces or journeys
Nice to have
Experience in food, health, wellness, or mission-driven brands
Familiarity with SEO basics and lifecycle messaging (email, push)
Experience with user research methods
Interest in healthy and sustainable living
BELONG TO A BETTER COMPANY
Comprehensive health benefits (medical, dental, vision, life and disability)
Competitive salary (DOE) + equity
401k plan
9 Observed Holidays
