ABOUT THE TEAM
The Crypto team is building some of Wealthsimple’s most important new bets, with stablecoins at the center of our next chapter. We’re working on how crypto can power faster, cheaper, and more useful financial experiences, while navigating a uniquely complex regulatory and operational landscape. This is a team for people who like to move quickly, and want to help turn early ideas into real products and real market traction.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re looking for a Product Manager to lead our stablecoin work as a core strategic mandate for the Crypto team. You’ll own the product strategy and execution needed to build and scale stablecoin utility, while also helping shape adjacent experiences across wallet, trading, custody, yield, and ecosystem distribution. This is a high-context, high-agency role for someone who can move from strategy to details quickly and help teams ship through ambiguity. You should have founder energy: high ownership, high curiosity, strong judgment, and very little need for a perfect playbook before getting started.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Set the product vision and roadmap for Wealthsimple’s stablecoin strategy within Crypto.
- Partner with external players across infrastructure, payments, DeFi, and market ecosystems to unlock growth and utility.
- Own the end-to-end product development process - from conceptualize, planning, and prioritization, through development and launch.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Design, Data Science, and stakeholders across the business continuously raising the bar on quality, performance, and ambition.
- Go deep with your technical counterparts to understand problems and dependencies and help guide the team to efficient and timely solutions to achieve your product vision.
- Break down complex problems and ambitious deliverables into discrete phases that deliver value to clients and the business incrementally.
- Talk directly to customers and plan and execute primary research to uncover problems, identify unmet needs, and validate potential solutions.
- Own key business outcomes and effectively communicate progress and results to R+D leadership.
- Act like an owner, not a coordinator — you’ll be expected to push work forward even when the path is unclear.
- Help elevate the Product Management practice at Wealthsimple and create an inclusive and supportive team culture.
SKILLS YOU BRING
- A track record of building and shipping products at scale that customers love, with most recent experience in Crypto.
- Experiencing owning a major project or domain, setting an inspiring product vision, and executing on a well-defined strategy to deliver results.
- Experience as an individual contributor leading large, complex cross-functional projects and managing multiple dependencies.
- A shipping mentality - a proven track-record of making trade-offs in scope to deliver impact, test hypothesis and establish strong client feedback loops, quickly.
- Experience leading qualitative and quantitative research, including large-scale client research, to uncover insights and shape the direction of product roadmaps.
- Strong bias to action and the ability to set the tone for stakeholders to deliver impact in a fast-paced environment.
- The ability to bring structure to ambiguity, simplify complex problems, and communicate insights and perspectives effectively, verbally and in writing.
- Technical know-how to talk with engineers about architecture and technical considerations and a strong understanding of how design, product and engineering can work together to ship high quality experiences quickly and at scale.
- Experience owning key business outcomes and reporting to executive leadership.
- Curiosity and a thirst for learning. You dig deep into any problem you encounter until you’ve cracked the nut on what’s really important. You ask “why?” a lot. Like, a lot.
- Analytical skills to pull your own data, analyze it, and draw meaningful insights from it.
- Discerning taste for what constitutes a great product experience.
